Turning Words into Action – How to engage in advocacy based on the CSW Agreed Conclusions
Prior subscription for this training is mandatory. Please subscribe via the link.
This event is brought to you by SPARK’s Pan European Training and will teach you how to engage in advocacy based on the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) Agreed Conclusions. The Commission on the Status of Women is a UN conference that happens every year where governments and civil society come together to discuss issues related to women’s rights. CSW66’s theme this year is achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.
The outcomes of the conference are written in the Agreed Conclusions. This event features speakers from the global South and North who participate in the CSW. We will teach you how to take some of the key agreements from the CSW and then advocate your national governments around them. If they have signed onto the words then they must be held accountable for their actions!
We welcome youth from all backgrounds who want to learn more about climate change and gender, and how to advocate for their interests!
This event was created with the financial support of the European Union. Its contents are the sole responsibility of SPARK and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
