Tuesday, April 12 is the launch of the first activity organised by The Young Ecofeminists Committee; our very own EMPWR- Ecofeminist Platform for Watching and Reading – club! We would like to use the club as a way to build community. We will meet monthly to engage in conversation and discuss cool and interesting materials, such as books, podcasts, films and documentaries, around the intersections of climate, gender, feminism and sustainable development.
During the launch of the club on April 12 we would like to announce part of the reading, watching & listening list, and there will be room to vote on the first material that we will discuss in our club. We have also invited some special guests!
We can already share the name of the first guest with you: Willemijn Kranendonk, climate poet and convinced feminist, will read an ecofeminist poem and tell us more about the importance of feminism and the power of literature and imagination. We will soon share with you the names of other guests, so keep an eye on our socials to stay up to date!
Would you like to get together with other motivated and passionate young feminists and climate activists and learn more about the intersection between feminism and climate? You can now register for this event by clicking on the link!
