WHAT WE DO
The action is designed to enhance Kenyan civil society organizations’ capacity for accountability, good governance, and inclusive development, and provide institutional platforms for their active involvement in EU-Kenya cooperation between 2024-2027.
We have been working with our partners in Kenya to follow EU foreign policy developments such as the Global Gateway and the Gender Action Plan (GAP) IV, in order to monitor and advance feminist sustainable development action in Kenya. Our advocacy priorities remain focused on ensuring a gender-transformative green transition, and pushing back against anti-gender actors and EU strategies that focus on securitisation and growth.
Numerous dialogues with civil society and policy makers are taking place, trainings are organised on Global Gateway and the GAP, the Youth Sounding Board was elected and is engaging in regular meetings regarding EU-Kenyan partnership programmes, high level policy dialogues with EU Ambassadors bring priorities of civil society to the forefront, and local project grants ensure engagement from 6 regions of the country. A digital platform for civil society and youth engagement has been launched.
