What we do
What we do
Funding Fairer Futures is an initiative dedicated to strengthening the climate movement and building capacities for an inclusive, just transformation, by ensuring that the needs and perspectives of diverse stakeholders, including often marginalised communities, are heard and reflected in climate action.
In 2025 we officially launched the first call for proposals across five different funds dedicated to supporting civil society organisations (CSOs) and groups in delivering impactful awareness-raising, campaigning, advocacy, and community engagement projects that create more just and sustainable futures for all. Of the five funds available, at WECF, we are coordinating the Feminist Climate Action Fund (see below).

Across the five funds, subgrantees benefit from:
- Training in project management, advocacy, fundraising, and visibility.
- Opportunities for networking and cooperation with global partners.
- Support for campaign participation, fundraising, and communication strategies.

Led by our team at Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF), the Feminist Climate Action Fund supports transformative initiatives that challenge traditional approaches to climate action and drive systemic change. The fund centres diverse perspectives, particularly those of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals from historically excluded communities.
With our first call for proposals, we selected 10 organisations that represent a vibrant network of feminist civil society from 9 EU countries, working together to advance climate justice actions across local, national, and EU levels. To find out more info about eligibility criteria and how the selection process took place, download the pdf here.
We look forward to seeing these projects take shape, all contributing to building more inclusive, accessible and representative spaces in the climate movement.
