Clothing Swap – Utrecht

April 23 @ 13:30 - 16:00 CEST

It may not come as a surprise that the clothing industry is polluting. But did you know that the industry belches out more emissions than the shipping and aviation industries combined!

As The Young Ecofeminists committee we would like to create more awareness around climate change and sustainability. But we also know that global issues like these can sometimes feel overwhelming.

That is why the committee is organizing a clothing swap in the center of Utrecht on the 23rd of April! Because if you reuse other people’s clothes, we do not have to tap into new resources and clothes do not have to be produced (under poor working conditions, primarily by women).

So do you have some items that you don’t wear anymore and do you want to update your closet? Join us to swap, chat and connect with other feminists and climate activists!

📍 Where: Neighborhood center in the 3 Krone, Oudegracht 227, 3511 NJ, Utrecht.

📅  When: 23 April, 13:30-16:00

📋  Ground Rules

  • Bring a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 7 items with you to exchange.
  • We focus during this swap only on clothing (not accessories or jewelry) for the spring/summer season.
  • Make sure the clothing is still of good quality – no holes, foul odors or stains.
