Approche féministe de la transition énergétique pour la justice climatique

Les femmes jouent un rôle social, environnemental et économique crucial dans les régions menacées par le dérèglement climatique, en contribuant notamment à la sécurité alimentaire et à la transition énergétique. Mais elles sont fragilisées par la faible reconnaissance de leurs activités et métiers ainsi que par un manque d‘accès aux financements.  A partir de témoignages de porteur.ses d’initiatives au Maroc, Sénégal, Mali, Niger et en Egypte, cet évènement mettra en lumière des programmes qui renforcent l’intégration des femmes et des groupes marginalisés dans le secteur de des énergies renouvelables, et valorisera les multiples co-bénéfices sociaux et environnementaux d’une approche féministe de la transition énergétique, en particulier pour les territoires ruraux.

A feminist approach to the energy transition for climate justice

Women play a crucial social, environmental and economic role in regions threatened by climate change, contributing in particular to food security and the energy transition. However, they are weakened by the lack of recognition of their activities and professions as well as by a lack of access to financing. Based on the testimonies of project leaders in Morocco, Senegal, Mali, Niger and Egypt, this event will showcase initiatives that foster the inclusion of women and marginalized groups in the renewable energy sector, and highlight the multiple social and environmental co-benefits of a feminist approach to the energy transition, in particular for rural territories.
