Global Recognition: Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards at COP 29 2024
WECF’s flagship GJCS Awards at COP29 spotlighted climate justice innovations by women-led organizations. The event brought global visibility to grassroots solutions and catalysed conversations on feminist foreign policy, climate finance, and intersectional governance.
As WomenPower2030 looks ahead, the path is clear: deepen impact, amplify feminist leadership, and continue bridging grassroots action with global advocacy. The achievements of 2024 have shown that when women and gender-diverse people lead, transformative change follows. WP2030 will carry this momentum forward by strengthening feminist movements, influencing policy, and expanding inclusive spaces for systemic change.
“Feminist leadership and collective action are not optional—they are essential for just and inclusive sustainable development.”
