We are looking for a communications intern who loves social media!

Are you interested in climate action, sustainable development and gender equality and would you like to gain experience in working for an international organisation? Then come do an internship at WECF and contribute to our ecofeminist campaigns and actions! Together with our partners we are building a broad movement for a just future and show another world is possible.

Are you the person we are looking for?

  • You are studying or looking for work experience
  • You have an excellent command of English (Dutch, German or French is an asset)
  • You are a communicative jack-of-all-trades, social media crazy and visually oriented
  • You are good at writing texts
  • You like the fact that no day is ever the same and you need to be able to switch quickly
  • You are looking for a versatile internship with an international, social organisation
  • You are interested in gender equality, climate, sustainability & environment

Who we are?

WECF (Women Engage for a Common Future) is a network of 150 women’s and environmental organisations in more than 50 countries. Our goal is to strengthen women’s leadership and gender equality in the field of sustainability. We do this by working on three themes: feminist action for sustainable development, feminist action for climate solutions and feminist action for a toxic-free society. With our activities focused on capacity building, policy advocacy and movement building, we strengthen the position of women worldwide.

Work

  • You will support the team in the implementation of a multifaceted, partly international campaigns, actions and programmes.
  • Supporting the communication staff in their daily tasks
  • Supervising “The Young Ecofeminists” Committee – a working group that focuses specifically on involving young people in the ecofeminist movement.
  • Contributing to campaigns on social media
  • Translating and writing articles for the website
  • Editing of digital newsletter

Because of the corona crisis, we, like many others, still work partly from home (about 50/50).

When is the internship? 

The internship is for 16-24 hours per week and for 4-6 months. Start date as soon as possible. An online internship is possible.
