PoVE’s kick-off meeting in Malta (14-16 September 2022)

The three-day kick-off meeting for the PoVE project (Platform of Vocational Excellence Water) and activities took place in Malta from 14-16 September. The event was prepared by CIV Water and hosted by a partner organisation representing the MCAST Resource Centre.

Two WECF representatives attended the event to facilitate meetings and networking between the 23 partner organisations, to clarify future activities and to participate in the discussion of relevant activities for the implementation of the project. The meeting helped to understand the overall aim of PoVE Water activities to be carried out during the first year of project implementation. All working packages from WP1 to WP7 and the project manual were presented to the partner organisations.

The PoVE project is a continuation of the CoVE initiative, more information on the activities of the leaders and partners can be found on the PoVE project home page!

PoVE Water partner Water Services Corporation (WSC) is the only utility company in the Maltese Islands, supplying water to a population of approximately 450,000 people. WSC owns three reverse osmosis plants, with a fourth under construction and expected to be operational in 2020, various underground boreholes, reservoirs and a complete distribution network.

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
