Event Recap: Feminist Advocacy – tackling the triple planetary crisis, one negotiation at the time
On November 29th the Women’s Right Rally took place – hosted by WO=MEN, Dutch Gender Platform. We organized a session titled “Feminist Advocacy: tackling the triple planetary crisis, one negotiation at the time”.
In an interactive World Café experience we unpacked the UN from a feminist perspective. Cleo from the Jonge Klimaatbeweging shared the latest insights about the gender negotiations during COP 30. She talked about the importance of pushing inclusive language.
Cleo “Without inclusivity and meaningful participation, there cannot be a just transition.”
WECF’s Annabel brought us fresh updates on UN biodiversity and Lisa talked about the most recent state of affairs of the preparations for the Seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7).
Through role-play and dialogue, participants could experience the power dynamics and alliances that shape international agreements. We approached these negotiations through a feminist lens, asking how gender justice and inclusivity can reshape the way we respond to our planet’s most pressing crises.
Thanks to all the wonderful participants for showing up and making this event a success.
