DIVCHATA’s menstrual health program brings relief to women in most attacked regions of Ukraine
The Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization ‘DIVCHATA’ has recently wrapped up a heart warming program focused on menstrual health aimed at youth in the highly by russian attacks affected areas of Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava in Ukraine.
In these challenging times, many women and girls in these regions are living under extremely tough conditions with limited access to basic hygiene products. Recognizing this urgent need, DIVCHATA stepped in to provide much-needed support. From July 1 to September 30, the project reached out to 182 women, offering them modern hygiene products like menstrual underwear.
The main aim of this initiative was to offer alternative menstrual health solutions, easing the financial burden of monthly period expenses and enhancing the quality of life and dignity of the women involved.
Through collaborative efforts, including surveys and consultations with the women in these areas, the project identified those most in need and provided them with comfortable, eco-friendly, and modern menstrual health products. This initiative not only improved their well-being but also offered a cost-effective solution, reducing the financial strain on these women and their families.
