Are you our next award winner? Just a few days left to apply for the Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards

Every year, WECF and the Women & Gender Constituency (WGC) organize a high level award celebration where 3 projects receive a monetary prize of €5.000 each, as well as several great opportunities (continue reading below to find out). These awards are aimed at showcasing real solutions for a more just, equal and healthy planet. Your gender just climate solution could be one of those!

Who is eligible to apply?

All activist, grassroot, women-led and gender equality organizations in all their diversity working on climate change issues are eligible to apply from all over the World.

You can apply in English, French, Arabic or Spanish

What are the awards?

Winning projects are divided into 3 categories:

  • Non-technical climate solutions with a women or gender perspective
  • Technical climate solutions with a women or gender perspective
  • Transformational climate initiatives with a women or gender perspective

Initiatives are reviewed by an international jury with members of the Women and Gender Constituency that decide on:

  • 3 top ‘Award Winners’ (per project type): these receive 5.000€ each, travel for one representative to attend the Awards Ceremony held at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, and 1-year of mentorship activities from the members of the Women and Gender Constituency. These winners are also invited to a capacity building workshop during COP27 with the previous award winners of the Gender Just Climate Solutions 2015-2021.
  • Up to 30 additional ‘Honorees’ that will be featured in a full color-publication which will be showcased in a high-level international awards ceremony at COP27, as well as be highlighted on the WGC website.
