2025 at a glance: Womenpower2030 highlights
Across the world, feminist movements are driving change and working to shape more just and inclusive societies. Over the past year, WomenPower2030 has made huge strides in advancing feminist leadership, strengthening civil society, and promoting gender equality at a local, national and global level.
Our impact is reflected across all regions. In Asia-Pacific we have strengthened advocacy and knowledge-sharing through feminist forums and digital rights training. In Africa, our focus on initiatives in agroecology and efforts to combat digital violence have created spaces for learning, reflection and conversation. In Latin America and the Caribbean, youth-led campaigns and learning platforms were built through collective action, thereby strengthening collaboration between young women.
Bringing together all of our strengths as a consortium, we have continued to support women’s and feminist organisations to build capacity in policy analysis, advocacy, and campaigning, and have enhanced staff and activists’ skills in focus areas such as digital literacy and strategic engagement. These efforts have equipped our networks to more effectively influence decision-making alongside leading the transformative change within their communities. We are excited for all that is to come as we look towards the year ahead!

Strengthening Feminist Influence on Global and Local Policy
Capacity Building for Feminist Leadership
- 72 Women’s and Feminist Organisations improved their capacities in policy analysis, campaigning and advocacy
- 140 staff and board members strengthened their capacity and governance
- 679 CSO staff increased their knowledge of policy advocacy, digital literacy and tools
Feminist Advocacy and Policy Engagement
- 169 CSOs included and engaged in decision-making and/or policy spaces
- 22 studies and policy analyses produced addressing gender-responsive laws and policies
- 43 policymakers (government representatives and decision-makers) engaged directly with feminist/women’s rights organisations to advance gender-responsive actions
Media Campaigns and Digital Visibility
- 971 feminist activists and stakeholders engaged in promoting feminist values and gender-transformative actions through both online and in-person initiatives
- Awareness-raising campaigns, both online and in-person, reached an exceptional audience of 6,885,467 people

Asia & the Pacific – APWLD
Feminist Forum Webinar Series for FfD4: Between June 2-19, APWLD and partners conducted a three-part webinar series on coordinating advocacy actions and capacity building reaching over 495 participants.
Food Sovereignty FPAR Reflection Meeting: From 29 November to 2 December, 2025, APWLD held a reflection meeting for partners, mentors and community researchers to strengthen their shared analysis on food sovereignty and support partners in translating grassroots knowledge into structural change.

Media Fellowship on Feminist Digital Rights: APWLD held a five-day training in Chiang Mai, Thailand to strengthen the skills of 16 media fellows in feminist digital rights, P-GFM analysis, journalism ethics and digital safety and security.

Africa – FEMNET & WEP
Agroecology Training – WEP staff gained hands on training in sustainable crop production, renewable energy use in agriculture, and further in-depth knowledge of the agro-industry to promote climate-resilient approaches across West Africa.
16 Days of Activism Campaign – “UNmuted: From Digital Safety to Bodily Autonomy, Her Voice Will Be Heard” – FEMNET used feminist visual storytelling to highlight women’s resilience and resistance to digital violence
Feminist COP 25 – African Feminist Climate Justice Advocacy
Latin America & the Caribbean – FEIM
Digital Learning Platform – FEIM developed a learning platform to strengthen continuous learning and providing a secure space to access presentations and resources related to key advocacy themes such as Beijing +30.
Side event at 16th Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean: FEIM organised the side event “The Perspectives of Young Feminists in Latin America on Care Policies”, where young advocates actively engaged with UN agencies, governments and civil society.
Online Feminist Campaign – “We Are Here, in Our Territories, Together”: The campaign amplified voices of young feminists from Argentina, Bolivia, Columbia, Guatemala and Peru through youth-led storytelling on gender equality, climate justice and human rights.
