Communications Intern
Would you like to use your communication skills to strengthen feminist action with a focus on sustainability, climate action, and a toxic-free future? Can you connect with (young) feminists, both internationally and in the Netherlands? Does your heart beat faster when you think about developing campaigns that reinforce a political message? Then this internship is for you!
We are looking for a creative Communications intern, English and Dutch speaking, for our office in Utrecht.
📍 Utrecht, The Netherlands (Hybrid)
💼 28-32 hours, 4 – 6 months

We are a non-profit network committed to a gender-just and healthy planet for all. We believe that a sustainable and equitable future requires ecofeminist solutions, led by those on the frontlines of the many crises we face. That is why we are working to transform gender equality and women’s rights in connection with sustainable development and climate justice.
• You will work within the WECF communications team.
• Content creation: create appealing designs using Adobe InDesign, Canva, and video editing tools for campaigns, events, and other important initiatives.
• Website: Develop content such as articles for the WECF websites (WordPress).
• Content coordination: Coordinate content using planning software such as Later.
• Project-specific communication: Highlight the work of various projects and partners.
• Support events: Bring visibility to our events, create content at event locations, and help post recaps.
• Analytics and optimization: Use Google and Meta Analytics to monitor and optimize reach.
• You are currently studying at a vocational college (MBO), university of applied sciences (HBO), or research university and are looking for valuable work experience.
• You are fluent in English, and have a strong knowledge of Dutch.
• You have a strong interest in topics such as climate and gender justice.
• You have a passion for social media and websites.
• You are creative and have experience with or interest in writing texts (for websites and social media).
• Experience with Canva or Wordpress is an advantage.
• You are looking for a versatile internship at an international social organization.

• Travel allowance based on a second-class train ticket with a discount card (when working at the office).
• An internship allowance of €250 per month for a 32-hour per week internship (pro rata).
