In light of extreme climate changes, the need for highly trained professionals in the water sector is vital. By prioritising vocational education on water-related topics, we empower professionals to drive innovation and strengthen the circular economy. Today’s young people are tomorrow’s water experts and must therefore be familiar with climate adaptation measures and a new approach to water in business, politics, and society.

The Platform of Vocational Excellence Water (PoVE Water) is an international network aiming to train a new generation of water professionals and strengthen vocational competence in the global water sector. It is a platform project for vocational education that focuses on improving the upscaling of the water strategy (WSS) among various relevant stakeholders.

Water is life! PoVE is an initiative of eight vocational schools, seven water industry professionals, four academic partners, and three support partners from Europe and South Africa. The project focuses on training vocational students through activities that familiarize them with the needs of the water sector and the challenges and threats of the future. It also aims to introduce students and pupils to various water-related topics and encourage them to pursue careers in this field.
