SUMMARY:Webinar: Who can stay cool? heat\, energy and Inequality in Europe’s summers
DESCRIPTION:Rising temperatures are increasingly shaping everyday life across Europe. From the energy we use to cool our homes to the conditions of our housing and access to public support\, the ability to cope with heat is not the same for everyone. Heatwaves reveal and deepen existing social inequalities\, affecting people differently depending on income\, age\, gender\, care responsibilities\, and where they live.  \nJoin WECF for our last interactive online lunch webinar in this webinar series\, where we connect experiences of summer heat with broader environmental and social challenges. Together\, we will explore what fair and sustainable adaptation to rising temperatures could look like.   \nIn our upcoming interactive webinar\, we will look at:  \n\nPreparing for summer: how energy use changes during warmer months and what practical steps can help households stay cool in a sustainable and affordable way  \n\n\nHeat\, inequality\, and vulnerability: understanding how extreme temperatures affect people differently across Europe depending on housing\, income\, age\, gender\, and care responsibilities  \n\n\nAdaptation strategies: identifying both simple household measures and community-based solutions that can build resilience during heatwaves  \n\nThis will be an interactive webinar where participants will have the opportunity to engage with each other through polls and discussions\, sharing experiences and reflecting on how heatwaves are experienced across different European contexts.  \n📅 24 April | 13:00–14:00 CET\n👉 Register here!  \n
