SUMMARY:Feminist Fishbowl - A Feminist Future Beyond the Pact @ the Global People’s Assembly
DESCRIPTION:Session details \n\n\n\n📅\nMon 23 September\, 15:00-16:30 NYT\n\n\n📍\nChurch Centre\, 1st Ave opposite UN\n\n\n\nOrganisers\n\n\n\n👥\nFEIM / NGO CSW LAC \nWomen Engage for a Common Future \nWomen Environmental Programme (WEP) Nigeria \nGender Youth Caucus \nFEMNET\n\n\n\nSession objective\nIn this dynamic event\, we aim to outline what feminists want to see happen beyond the Summit of the Future. The event serves as a platform for civil society to engage and connect with each other in an interactive “fishbowl” format. \nTopical experts are invited to take part in the initial panel discussions\, sharing their critical insight on where we currently stand with the Pact and what work lies ahead\, including in different upcoming processes. These processes include: \n\nBeijing+ 30 & ICPD+30\nUNFCCC COP29 & CBD COP16\nFfD-4 & SDGs\n\nParticipants are actively encouraged to take part in the conversation\, forging pathways for the work to be done beyond the Summit of the Future. We highly recommend reading the following briefing note on policy Processes linked to gender\, climate and the Summit of the Future as a preparatory document to guide our discussion: Policy processes linked to gender\, climate and the Summit of the Future – WECF \nWe hope you join the conversation then! \n  \n
