COP28 side event – Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards

The solutions to the climate crisis already exist, and they are gender-just and locally-driven.

It is crucial to recognize that ambitious climate action cannot be realized without amplifying the voices of those directly confronting the challenges of climate change on the frontlines. To make them visible, we, together with the Women and Gender Constituency, organize a high-level awards celebration during the annual global climate negotiations.

The Gender Just Climate Solutions awards bring together environmental defenders worldwide who use gender equality and a women’s rights approach when implementing the Paris Agreement to fight the climate crisis.
