WECF is celebrating and we want you to join! Thursday 16 January we will host our 25th anniversary event “Building the Ecofeminist Movement, a just, sustainable and healthy future for all”.

With you as our guest we want to look back on our work of the past 25 years and discuss the importance and future of the ecofeminist movement. We will do this with our founders Marie Kranendonk and Irene Dankelman, with Fossil Free Feminists, Edith van der Spruit (Directeur van Dutch Gender Platform WO=MEN), and with colleagues from Milieudefensie. 

What are the most important battle points of the ecofeminist movement of today? How can we strengthen the ecofeminist movement around the world and fight the conservative backlash that we see on a global scale? What is the role of the United Nations 25 years after the Beijing Platform of Action and over 25 years after the Rio Earth Summit? These are the questions we want to talk about with you  and our speakers.

You are more than welcome to stay  for a drink at the reception afterwards.

WECF bestaat 25 jaar! Dat vieren we graag met jou op donderdagavond 16 januari. Onder leiding van Vroege Vogels presentatrice Milouska Meulens voeren we een gesprek over “Building the Ecofeminist Movement”. 

We blikken terug en vooruit met WECF oprichters Marie Kranendonk en Irene Dankelman, met Fossil Free Feminists,  met Edith Spruijt, directeur van WO=MEN, het Nederlandse Genderplatform en met collega´s van Milieudefensie.  

 Wat zijn de belangrijkste strijdpunten voor de ecofeministische beweging vandaag de dag? Hoe kunnen we de ecofeministische beweging versterken en tegenwicht bieden aan de conservatieve terugslag die we zien op het wereldtoneel? Wat is de rol van de Verenigde Naties 25 jaar na de Verklaring van Beijing en meer dan 25 jaar na de Rio Earth Summit? Over deze en andere vragen gaan we graag met de sprekers en jou in gesprek.

Na afloop van het gesprek ben je van harte welkom voor de feestelijke receptie.
