The Future of the EU Green Deal Is in Our Hands

The world is facing big challenges—climate change, rising inequality, and political shifts are shaping our future. Women and vulnerable groups are most affected, while conflicts, like the russian* invasion of Ukraine, show how fragile our energy and democracy systems can be. Europe needs to move quickly towards a fair and sustainable economy.

The European Green Deal is the EU’s plan to cut emissions, grow renewable energy, and protect nature. But it is under pressure. Civil society is being restricted, and false information on gender and climate is spreading. The response must be more ecofeminist action.

Young people, who make up 25% of the EU, are too often left out of decisions. Yet ecofeminism helps us see how climate, gender, and justice are connected. To win climate justice, we must also win gender justice.

That is why we created this EU Green Deal Toolkit for Youth. It explains the Green Deal in simple terms, shows its links to ecofeminism, and gives you tools to get involved. Together we can build a greener, fairer future.
