W\u00e4re es so, w\u00fcrde wohl kein Mensch mehr Tampons kaufen. Die Realit\u00e4t ist n\u00e4mlich, dass Einweg-Menstruationsprodukte bis zu 90 Prozent aus Plastik bestehen. Chemische Zusatzstoffe wie Weichmacher, Duftstoffe, Bleichmittel und Biozide sind nicht nur schlecht f\u00fcr die Umwelt, sondern auch f\u00fcr den K\u00f6rper: Sie k\u00f6nnen krebserregend sein und allergische Reaktionen hervorrufen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren auch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wecf.org\/de\/info-zu-hormongiften\/\">hormonell wirksame Chemikalien (EDCs)<\/a>, die unter anderem eure Menstruation st\u00f6ren und eure Fruchtbarkeit beeintr\u00e4chtigen k\u00f6nnen. Es gibt immer noch kein EU-weites Ende der Tampon-Steuer. F\u00fcr viele Menschen bedeutet der Konsum von Menstruationsartikel eine finanzielle Belastung. Die meisten Menstruierenden k\u00f6nnen sich ges\u00fcndere \u00f6kologische Alternativen schlichtweg nicht leisten. Dazu fehlt in einigen L\u00e4ndern au\u00dferdem eine gute sanit\u00e4re Infrastruktur \u2013 besonders an Schulen. Menstruierende <span class=\"ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">Sch\u00fcler*innen sehen sich oft gezwungen, w\u00e4hrend ihrer Periode Zuhause zu bleiben, weil an ihren Schulen schlechte hygienischen Bedingungen herrschen, es nicht gen\u00fcgend Privatsph\u00e4re gibt oder sie auf Unverst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr ihre Situation sto\u00dfen. <\/span>Das alles untergr\u00e4bt die Bildungschancen, die Gesundheit und den allgemeinen sozialen Status von menstruierenden Menschen auf der ganzen Welt.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text_height=&#8221;fontheight-518735&#8243; text_font=&#8221;font-143231&#8243; text_weight=&#8221;800&#8243; text_transform=&#8221;uppercase&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Was wir tun<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]Der Umstand, dass die H\u00e4lfte der Menschheit regelm\u00e4\u00dfig aus der Vagina blutet, wird sowohl in der Politik, im Gesundheitssystem als auch in der Lehre bzw. der Bildung auffallend entschieden gemieden und banalisiert. Das ist problematisch, denn der Umgang mit Menstruation ist f\u00fcr Menstruierende ein entscheidender Schl\u00fcssel zur uneingeschr\u00e4nkten Teilhabe an der Gesellschaft und dem \u00f6ffentlichem Leben. Unsere Arbeit ist daher mehrdimensional, um alle Wirkkr\u00e4fte zu b\u00fcndeln.<\/p>\n<p>Zum einen zielen wir auf Information und Bildung von Verbraucher*innen. Mit kostenlosem Infomaterial und Events leisten wir Aufkl\u00e4rungsarbeit f\u00fcr Menstruierende und Jugendliche und setzen dabei auf eine ungeschminkte, enttabuisierende Kommunikation. Zweitens bringen wir die Schulung von lokalen verantwortlichen Stellen zu Wasser- und Sanit\u00e4rssicherheit voran und implementieren Projekte in Osteuropa und dem Balkan f\u00fcr den Ausbau einer sanit\u00e4ren Infrastruktur.<\/p>\n<p>Einen Gro\u00dfteil der Verantwortung sehen wir aber ganz klar bei der Politik. Der Zugang zu gesunden und nachhaltigen Menstruationsprodukten und besonders zu Wasser und sanit\u00e4ren Anlagen muss f\u00fcr alle Menstruierende ohne viel Aufwand garantiert werden. Darum mischen wir als feministische NGO auf politischer Ebene rund um den Schutz vor Schadstoffen mit (z.B. auf der internationalen Weltchemikalienkonferenz) und treiben gemeinsam mit unseren B\u00fcndnispartner*innen Regulierungen gegen die Plastikkrise voran (z.B. bei den Verhandlungen um ein globales
