Congratulations Anjum! 2020 Women of Distinction

We are so delighted to hear that Anjum Sultana, a youth advocate; intersectional feminist; researcher in health and writer, from Canada has been awarded one of the Woman of Distinction awards for her work on Generation Equality in our region by the NGO Committee on the Status of Women, New York! We are of course very humbled to also having been nominated for this years’ Woman of Distinction award.

“Anjum Sultana is the National Director of Public Policy & Strategic Communications at YWCA Canada, the nation’s oldest gender equality organization. Anjum is the Founder of Millennial Womxn in Policy, a grassroots organization with over 2500 members, focused on the advancement of women and gender diverse people in public policy. Anjum represented Canada at 2019 Youth G7 Summit in France through Young Diplomats of Canada. Anjum serves as a board member for the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians, Toronto Environmental Alliance and Regent Park Community Health Centre. Anjum holds a Masters is Public Health from the University of Toronto.”
