10 Grassroots feminist recommendations for gender-transformative climate finance & policies

The effective and just implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement and all actions to address the climate urgency must be guided by a gender transformative approach as a fundamental step to respect the UN principle of “leaving no-one behind” and to implement the new UNFCCC Gender Action Plan adopted at COP30 in Belém.

This publication presents recommendations for successful and gender-transformative climate finance and policies at both the international and national levels. It has been developed through a grassroots consultation process led during the project Gender & Climate – Promoting a Gender-Responsive Implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement,  implemented together with our partners ARUWE in Uganda, ENDA in Colombia, and WECF Georgia.
